  5. The field of railway engineering encompasses a wide range of disciplines. Its scope is diverse, from a single footbridge replacement during a weekend rail closure to developing a new metro or high-speed rail system. Its scope also extends to the study of urban transport planning, highway infrastructure, and civil bridges.

Train and rail operations are integral parts of railway engineering; hence CERT Training introduced the fundamental principles and components of railway systems. The course will focus on track geometry, alignment, and electrotechnical installations. In addition, the candidate will learn about the role of trains and the role of the railroad infrastructure in society. Further, the student will understand the role of a railway in society, as well as how to build a railway infrastructure.
